SILVER JEWELRY MAKING WORKSHOP

Silver Soul Studio, born at the end of 2020, has been going through an emotional journey to introduce to everyone many products made of silver using traditional and modern methods. With a strong desire to help more people get a practical experience with this craft, we are more than happy to open silver jewelry making workshops every weekend.

Coming to our workshop, you will first learn about the history of Vietnamese jewelry and famous jewelry making villages across the country. After that, we will go through almost all the steps of making a simple silver jewelry product such as ring, necklace, earrings, or sometimes a cute little bookmark…

MATERIALS AND JEWELERY CRAFTING TECHNIQUES USED IN OUR WORKSHOP

As well the products introduced at Silver Soul Studio, the items at the workshop are also made of silver with high purity from 92.5% to 99%.

Regarding the techniques, Silver Soul Studio will focus on 2 main ones:

• Basic silversmithing techniques: You will experience all the steps to create a complete piece of jewelry such as measuring size, silver sawing, modeling, welding, filing, beating, sanding, polishing, etc… This is the basic technique set used in the jewelry making industry. However, each person with their different perspective and preferences will finish the items with his/her unique mark.
• Traditional filigree technique: This technique requires more meticulousness and therefore, more difficult to learn. Filigree is one of the four most elite industries in the ancient capital of Vietnam. Silver filigree is simply understood as the process of cooking pure silver into silver threads and then bending these threads into patterns; joining and welding hundreds of thousands of patterns around silver bones together to form a complete item. In this workshop, you will experience some steps such as bending, joining and welding patterns.

Now we have an overview of Silver Soul Studio’s basic silver making workshop. Coming to our classes, you will not only get to know the special craft, but also have memorable moments with Silver Soul Studio. You can enjoy every moment of making your own silver jewelry with your personal touch, to give to yourself or to a friend or family member.  Sometimes just a simple engraved character can convey so many emotions in it.

Besides, our workshop serves free snack and water; our studio has a relaxing balcony overlooking the romantic West Lake. After each class, there will be many photos sent to you as souvenirs.

HOW TO REGISTER TO OUR WORKSHOP

Currently, Silver Soul Studio will hold workshops every weekend, and we have limited slot of class during the week.

To ensure the quality, each workshop only accepts a maximum of 5 people. Our class lasts from 2 to 2.5 hours. If you want to register, please inbox our Fanpage directly.

Below is the workshop cost for your reference. This cost may vary depending on the topic.

• For the simple silversmithing technique: 990.000 – 1.250.000 VND/person/session.
• For the filigree technique: from 1.650.000 VND/person/session.

Maximum weight of ring and pendant: 5 grams/item. Maximum weight of earrings: 8 gram/item.

Depending on the products, you can engrave letters/numbers/characters using the engraving tool set available at the workshop. Engraving cost: free, under guidance of our instructors.

Kindly register and transfer the workshop registration fee at least 3 days before the date you want to participate. Silver Soul Studio will send you confirmation of participation in the workshop after receiving payment.

REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

You can cancel your registration 24 hours before the workshop starting time and receive a 100% refund.

If you cancel your registration within 24 hours before the workshop starting time, the fee is non-refundable.

In case you have an unexpected event and cannot participate that day, please contact Silver Soul Studio immediately to reschedule to a suitable time.
